Jonathan Kimmitt currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer for the Alias Cybersecurity. He helps organizations build and develop their IT Security and Data Compliance/Privacy programs.
With more than 20 years of senior IT leadership of Services/Help Desk, Systems Operations, and Security/Incident Response, he has a wide variety of experience. Jonathan’s background in business management, law enforcement, IT Security and Data Privacy has provided him a unique perspective as the to needs of the business, and the needs of security and privacy.
Jonathan’s primary goal is to protect people. To accomplish this goal he communicates, manages, and mitigates risk within the organization. Whether it is presenting to the Board of Trustees, speaking as a expert witness in court, providing security awareness training, or leading an investigation, his goal is to protect our people, the organization and the community.
He has a variety of industry certifications and is a strong supporter of learning, training, and expanding skill sets. He loves to share those skills through teaching classes at conferences, speaking engagements, one-on-one training sessions.
